This week we worked on singing HARMONY in Thula Klizeo! We sing in HARMONY when two sections of choir are singing different pitches (notes) with the same words at the same time! One part sings high and one part repeats the regular melody (we call this the low part). We have decided at Hidden Valley and Brookside who are singing which parts.
Do you remember which part you sing??
We start singing HARMONY (in 2 parts) when Thula Klizeo divides into two singing parts (after the Boom Boom Pah quiet (piano) then medium loud (mezzo forte) then very loud (fortissimo or ff) . You can see this on your sheet music at the bottom of the third page.
This week I would like for you to practice your harmony part! You can use the video to help you remember when you start to sing harmony.
MAKE SURE TO BRING YOUR PRACTICE LOGS THIS WEEK!!! It is the last week and we will be exchanging them for new ones!!!
We also worked on a new warm-up using SOLFEGE or NUMBERS. SOLFEGE is the word for when we sing do-re-mi etc. I'll put a copy of that warm up below.
