Hello everyone! I hope you enjoyed the week off. I enjoyed mine so much that I forgot to upload the videos that I made before break! So, we'll be recapping everything this week and having a go at the SCALE CHALLENGE! Here are the videos for violinists and cellists. Also, 25 wonderful people have signed up for 6th grade orchestra at White Hill next year! I'm so excited and already thinking about the music we're going to play!!
This week, we started learning tunes on the G string. Manor and Brookside - I missed you! I hope you had a safe and dry day off and that this video helps you to stay on track. Violinists need to be familiar with ledger lines now - cellists, you will need to understand these too eventually, so watch the video anyway! There's also a separate video for violinists and cellists. Enjoy Hello everyone and sorry for the late post. This week, we looked at Canon in D, No.111 in String Basics. Remember the rules for using your pencil : if you jump to a note, you can write in the fingering. If the next note is a step away, or repeated, don't write in the number!! Here is the video to professionals playing the Canon. You can play along with them (watch my videos on how to do this). Enjoy playing beautiful music! |
